The district is divided into two areas, North and South, with two Building Control Officers to each area. The Officers are responsible for plan vetting and site inspections within their own area.
Our services include free advice on pre plan deposits, same day inspection service, weekend inspections for volume housebuilders
and phased inspection fees.
The section is also responsible for dangerous buildings.
Our Council subscribes to and supports the LABC and Northern Building Control Consortium.
The section adopts a team approach by working closely with Planning, Environmental Health and Engineering Services.
