The Building Control Group comprises three teams of Surveyors based in Kendal and Ulverston. They are available for presubmission and pre-start meetings to establish client programmes and assist in the involvement of other Council Groups. The Group is ISO 9001:2000 registered and operates Partnership schemes. Fast track efficient performance managed framework is the core of service delivery.
In addition the Group is responsible for dangerous structure matters and administration of street naming.
The Group is one of seven forming the Strategy and Planning Department providing front line services, including business support, community housing, information technology, planning services, policy and performance.
